TV: Your story telling is incredible, especially when describing all of the details of the amazing worlds you have built. So it’s always fun to watch the boys’ heads spin when they hit Fennbirn. And second, all of the countries are patriarchal, in varying degrees. No elementals, naturalists, poisoners, etc.
The mainland differs from the island in two major ways: first, there are no gifts. As the story progresses, I go to the mainland in different eras, including way back when the mainland and the island were not separated by that magical barrier of mist. Also remember: everyone not from the island is called a mainlander, almost as a slur, but the mainland is actually many different countries. KB: We will! But not so much in One Dark Throne.
